PureRoots PureRoots began with a pouch of moringa powder that arrived the colour of dry hay. It had been sold as pure, and it probably was pure — nothing had been added to it. It had simply been left in the sun for four days until most of what made it worth eating had gone.
That is the standard practice across the industry, and it is not a secret. Sun drying needs no electricity and no equipment. It costs almost nothing. And most customers have no way of telling, because a faded powder still looks like a powder.
PureRoots was built around the opposite decision. Everything we sell dries in a closed, temperature-controlled chamber. It costs more and it needs power, and it is the only reason our moringa is still green.
